Do you work on explosive volcanism and tephra? Are you based in academia, government, or an industry/operational setting? If so, we warmly invite you to submit your paper to our Open Access GeoHorizons Book Volume to be published by the Geological Society of London and AGU.
The volume is titled: Tephra: from reconstructing past volcanic eruptions to modelling and forecasting future hazards
The book will be organised into three main sections:
- Reconstructing past eruptions
- The generation, dispersion and sedimentation of tephra
- Forecasting and mitigating the impacts of future explosive eruptions
We are seeking relatively broad contributions from, but not limited to, physical volcanologists, geologists, tephrochronologists, hazard and climate modellers, and computational volcano and natural disaster scientists.
Please see the flyer below for full details. If you have any questions, or if you would like to receive an invitation to submit a manuscript, do not hesitate to contact one of the volume editors (contact details below). Guidelines for preparing your manuscript can be found here: Author information
We very much look forward to hearing from you and to your potential contributions.
