Do you work on explosive volcanism and tephra? Are you based in academia, government, or an industry\/operational setting? If so, we warmly invite you to submit your paper to our Open Access GeoHorizons Book Volume<\/strong> to be published by the Geological Society of London <\/strong>and AGU<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The volume is titled: Tephra: from reconstructing past volcanic eruptions to modelling and forecasting future hazards<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The book will be organised into three main sections:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    \r\n
  1. Reconstructing past eruptions<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  2. The generation, dispersion and sedimentation of tephra<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  3. Forecasting and mitigating the impacts of future explosive eruptions<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    We are seeking relatively broad contributions from, but not limited to, physical volcanologists, geologists, tephrochronologists, hazard and climate modellers, and computational volcano and natural disaster scientists. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
